Jaipur
 Jaipur was built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1727. The old city is called the pink city because it was painted pink when king George visited the city. There are many historical places and palaces to visit in and around Jaipur. The Amber Palace is one of the very famous palace 12 km from Jaipur. It was built by Kachwaha prince Man Singh. Jantar Mantar is one of the 5 observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. It is the only observatory in working condition. Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is situated on the bank of river Sabarmati. Sultan Ahmad Shah founded it in 1411AD. Jama Masjid is a historical site built in 1423 by Ahmad Shah. Somnath
Somnath is famous for the Somnath temple. It is considered the first of all 12 Jyotirlingas. According to mythology, Moon God, Somraj, originally built the temple in gold. Ravana rebuilt it in silver, Krishna in wood and by Bhimdev in stone. It was looted in 1026 AD by Moh. Ghazni and subsequently in 1297, 1394 and in 1786 by Aurangzeb. Mumbai
Mumbai has a rich colonial history as well as heritage. The Portuguese called it Bom Bahia, which means 'Good Bay'. It was given over to British as dowry when Portuguese princess Catherine of Braganza married British prince Charles II. Gateway of India and Victoria Terminal are the example of colonial architecture. Gateway of India was constructed to commemorate the visit of King George V to Mumbai. Aurangabad
Aurangabad is named after the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It is famous for many places of historical interest. Bibi ka Maqbara was constructed by Prince Azam Shah for his mother Begum Rabia Durani in 1626. It is inspired by Taj Mahal. The Tomb of Aurangzeb is a very simple structure. Daulatabad Fort was built by Moh. Shah Tughlaq when he shifted his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad. The fort is rich in Tughlaq architectural features. There are 34 caves constructed between 6th century BC to 12th century BC, out of which 12 are Buddhist, 17 are Hindu and 5 are Jaina caves. The Kailasha temple is a monolithic structure carved out from top to bottom. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Ellora caves also come under the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
